Honors World History: Chapter 5: Absolute Monarchs!!!!!

Chapter 5 is all about the absolute monarchs of Europe. This is a pretty massive unit, so I am going ahead and posting your Things to Know and a group project assignment.

The test is tentatively set for November 16 (1st period) and November 17 (2nd period).
I will let you know if that date changes

I will be adding suggested readings as we go through the notes. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PRINT/AND/OR READ THESE. It is just a suggestion to further help you understand this era of history and the rulers who shaped it.

Things to Know

You will have Monday, 10/26  (1st) and Tuesday, 10/27  (2nd) to research your Absolute rulers and gather your information.

You need to bring your poster board and all materials needed to complete the poster to class Friday, 10/30. You will have that full class period to put the poster together.

The posters are due Wednesday, 11/4 (1st ) and Thursday, 11/5 (2nd).

I will grade them, and put them up on the walls outside my classroom. I will give you a little time each day to use them to help you fill in your rulers chart.

Your Rulers Chart is due the day of the test. 11/16 or 11/17

Absolute Rulers Poster Project

If you are absent the day we do research, or the day the class puts the posters together, you will have to do an individual project.

Unit 4

Honors World History

Chapters 3 and 4 Information:
The extra info is just things that I have found here and there. You do not have to read, print or study them. It's exactly what it says; extra info about this era of history. With that being said, these extra notes and essays will give you a better understanding of this time period. But it is up to you to read or not.

The questions for review are entirely optional. But it might help in studying for the test

As soon as I can, I will let you know your test date. Go ahead and plan for 10/21 and 10/22
The explorers chart is due the day of the test

Things to Know sheets are key!!! Not everything on them will be on your test, but these are the main/key details that i want you to know. Know not only the L1 of them, but the L2 as well.. why and how they are significant to history.. that will help you with the "multiple multiples" on the test.

Age of Discovery Notes: extra info for you
Europe Faces Westward Notes: extra info for you
Columbus and the natives: will help with Bellringer #21
Exploration Questions for Review: optional; not for a grade
